PROGRAM AND OUTCOMES

To date, 9 women veterans and first responders have completed our hunting program since 2022 and 50+ applicants still await for an opportunity like this. The impact was so great that 7 of those 9 women have joined our team filling key roles in fundraising and growing our organization all over the country.

MGO is serving women who are not simply veterans and first responders looking for a fun hunt. They are women who have operated in an environment designed primarily for men and have been required to suppress emotion, push through pain, and project strength as a condition of professional survival. ​

​

Keeping in mind that the hunting industry is also a male dominated area, MGO works very hard to ensure a positive, safe, and encouraging atmosphere, and thanks to our partners and outfitters we work with, we are able to provide just that. 

​

We have built close relationships with our partners like KUIU , OMM Outfitters, and landowners that is invaluable and they have become family to our participants and to us here at MGO. These lasting relationships are pivotal and play a key role, encompassing trust and a safe place for our participants to share their stories and find healing and restoration while building friendships that last a lifetime.

These essential parts of  our hunting atmosphere combined with the curative power of the outdoors and the challenge of the hunt creates an exhilarating experience for all involved. It instills the belief of worthiness and that they matter. This manifestation that takes place inspires our participants to set aside any pride or insecurities and become each other's biggest cheerleaders. In this event, the relationships grow even stronger and the humility is ever present.

 

We do our best to influence a positive mindset during their time with us and especially when there are obstacles and successes of the hunt, by elaborating on the fact that all hunters both seasoned and new, share the same fears and self doubt. The educational material we offer can help get ahead of that. We cover topics like shot placement, animal behavior, environment, and terrain to help prepare participants for their up-coming hunt.

 

Our hunting program is proven to be a life changing experience for the exceptional females who participate with us. And based off of the feedback and testimonies we have received, our participant's ability to think beyond themselves and their fears culminate into good attitudes from the bonds that they built, anchoring resilience. Finding it more valuable to just be there for one another and help each other.

​These results expand far beyond the hunt and are now woven into the fabric of their everyday life, goals, and dreams.
